Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County offers high-quality, affordable After School Program for youth ages 5-13.  Available at our Centre St and Spruce St Clubhouses --with FREE transportation from many area schools and onsite at several Trenton and Ewing Public Schools.  After School Program is Monday- Friday, 3-6 pm and includes early dismissals.
 
More than just childcare, our state licensed programs provide structured, engaging experiences with homework assistance, literacy support, STEM, arts, life skills, fitness and mentoring.  Each day is designed to inspire learning, growth and confidence in a supportive setting.

     ASP takes place all full school days and scheduled school half- days.

We provide a 15:1 staff-to-youth ratio, a healthy snack/meal, homework help, structured program schedule, enrichment programs including art, science, literacy, sports, cooking, and much more.

 

Hours are Monday – Friday 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. and scheduled school half-days

  • Key Programs at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County:

     

    After School and Extended Day Learning Programs:

    Serving youth ages 5 to 18, this program provides academic support, homework assistance, educational enrichment activities, tutoring, STEM, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and creative writing.

     

    Reading for Success Program:

    Using cloud-based software, this program helps members to reach grade-level in reading and provides extra support to those who struggle with literacy. 

     

    Clubs Healthy Living Programs:

    Focused on nutrition and overall wellness, this program offers healthy meals and snacks while members engage in activities like cooking, gardening, fitness, and mental health education.

     

    Social Emotional Learning (SEL) as a Foundation: SEL is embeded across all programs, building skills like self-awareness, emmotional regulation, social awareness, relationship building, and responsible decision-making to support both academic success and emotional well-being.
